We are a company that provides care giver services to individuals who are developmentally disabled. All our group homes are in the Bloomington, MN area.
What do Connections Direct Support Professionals do?
DSPs provide a variety of services to our residents, and duties vary from program to program, but may include (but are not limited to):
- Providing care giver services to our residents, including personal cares when appropriate and necessary
- Teaching and maintaining skills
- Cooking and feeding assistance
- Providing support with hobbies, studies, and social activities
- Participating in the development of Individual Program Plans
- Medication administration
- And participating in fun recreational activities with residents!
Our DSP jobs are ideal for someone who:
- Likes to provide fun services that make a difference in someone’s life!
- Is looking for an entry level opportunity as someone new or returning to the workforce and/or interested in the Human Services field
- Wants flexible full-time or part-time shifts that fit with your work-life balance
What skills do care givers need?
- No degree is required! If you have a High School diploma (or equivalent) and are over the age of 18, we will provide all of the training that you need to provide high-quality care; no experience is necessary
- DSPs are people-oriented – they assist individuals with their care giver skills, provide Home Services, and strive to improve their quality of life!
- Care givers are adaptable and flexible – they enjoy doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction that keep their work day interesting
- They are dependable – provide efficient and exemplary personal care assistance

PART TIME/FULLTIME/WEEKEND HOURS AVAILABLE
Wage: $16.60 /hr

Minimum Qualifications:
18 years of age or older
Ability to pass a DHS background check
Valid US driver’s license
Basic computer skills
