Direct Support Professional - Paid Training - Weekends Only

Position Summary: As a Direct Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing essential support and help to individuals with disabilities in residential facilities.

Available Openings:

• 40 hours every 2 weeks = 10 AM - 8 PM every Saturday and Sunday (shift length 10 hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Encourage the development of life skills, such as communication, problem-solving, and self-advocacy.
• Provide emotional and health-related services including administering medications, checking vitals to track health, and assisting with medical equipment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client care and support.
• Involve consumers in community and recreation-based activities.
• Assist clients with and or complete household chores, shopping, and transportation.
• Assist with providing basic personal care, grooming, and hygiene.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma, GED, or willingness to complete a GED program
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Compassionate, dedicated, and energetic demeanor
• Pass a background check that includes a BCI and FBI criminal history check
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to lift up to fifty pounds
• Must have a Valid Ohio Driver License with less than 6 points
