Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for individuals.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Collaborate with nurses and healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of individuals.
- Monitor and record vital signs as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Provide hospice care and support to individuals and their families.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of ADLs and ability to assist individuals in performing these tasks.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience working alongside nurses or healthcare professionals is a plus.
- Ability to monitor and record vital signs accurately.
- Understanding of hospice care principles and ability to provide compassionate support.
- Proficiency in meal preparation techniques and dietary restrictions.
- Physical strength and ability to perform heavy lifting.
