Direct Support Professional (Dsp)

Direct Support Professional / Residential Counselor.

As a Direct Support Staff Counselor or Residential Counselor, you will be responsible for empowering and supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in the community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)

Provides a full range of Attendant Care services including but not limited to the following:

• Accompanying the individual to community outings like going to Movie theatre, bowling, doctor's appointment, museum,

Education

• Must have a high school diploma or GED, and experience and/or training in related field.
• Certificate of training approved by the Developmental Disabilities Administration
• Experience in home health aide/direct care/residential care or similar setting.
• Must be able to pass with a clean criminal background check.
• Valid Driver’s License preferred.

The work hours of a Personal Care Attendant will vary (i.e. weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays).
