When it comes to where you work, we know you’ve got choices…here’s what we provide:
- Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

- As a non-profit employer, UCP participates with the Federal Student Loan Forgiveness Program - full-time employees may be eligible for the remaining balance on their Direct Loans to be forgiven!
Available schedules:
- Full-time 30+ - Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-3:30 PM
- Full-time 30+ - Monday-Friday 9:00 AM-3:30 PM
- Part-time 20+ - Monday-Friday 9:00 AM-2:00 PM
Responsibilities:
Here’s what to expect on the job:
- Help individuals with disabilities build self-esteem and independence through making everyday decisions.
- Use effective communication to build relationships and rapport with the individuals.
- Develop and carry out an individualized plan based on individual preferences, needs, and interests.
- Provide and assist the individuals with direct care skills such as personal care and hygiene.
- Teach and assist the individuals with daily living skills.
- Assist with adaptive equipment and therapies (i.e., physical, occupational, and speech).
- Develop and assist with relationships within the community to establish social connections, community connections and relationships.
- Help plan, facilitate, and attend daily group activities in the community with the individuals.
Minimum requirements:
- 18 years of age
- A valid driver’s license and 6 months driving experience
- Access to a vehicle with valid insurance, registration, and inspection
- A team player who can be flexible with their schedule
- Ability to communicate, read, write, and understand the English language
Preferred, but not required:
- A High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate
- Previous Personal Care Aide, Caregiver, Direct Support Professional, or Direct Care Worker experience
- Knowledge of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or autism
