Direct Support Professional

Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in need. This role requires experience in home care, assisted living, and senior care, as well as knowledge of resident rights and care for those that are autistic. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping others and ensuring their well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Assist individual with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming…
• Provide companionship and emotional support to individual
• Assist individual with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
• Assist individual with administration of medications according to prescribed schedules
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for individual
• Implement care plans and follow established protocols
• Write daily notes and document on individual
• Promote independence and respect individual's rights
• Work on goals (listed in ISP) with individual
• Go on outings with individual in your personal vehicle
• Prompt individual to try to do certain tasks independently before helping individual
• Go to doctors appointments and support individual during those

Experience:

- Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or senior care is a plus

- Knowledge of autism care techniques is a plus

- Familiarity with systems for documenting care provided is a plus

- First aid certification is a plus

- CPR certification is a plus

- L1MA Level 1 Med Aide certification is a plus

- MO Abuse and Neglect Training completed within the last year is required

- CNA certification is a plus

- CPI certification is a plus

We are looking for 1-2 people to work the following shifts (We only need 1 person per shift and would prefer that one person work both shifts and if we have to have a second person work the other shift that is what we will do).

Saturdays 1:30pm-9:30pm

Sundays 6:30pm-9:30pm

These hours would be able to start as of 5/1/24

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $28.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 11 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Every weekend
