Job Description
The Marketing and Communications department seeks a Digital Marketing Specialist to collaborate with the School of Professional Studies (SPS) team to facilitate marketing automation emails, social media pages, and event planning. The overarching goal is to enhance traffic, engagement, and conversions for SPS. In addition, the position works with the marketing and communications team to implement SEO best practices for the University website and oversee the GA4 (Google Analytics 4) account.
Email and Social Media Management of SPS Accounts (20%)
• Oversee the email marketing automation setup for the School of Professional Studies, to include responsibilities such as updating and testing copy, QA, verification, and reporting.
• Provide support for programs and events within SPS that necessitate the sending of one-off emails.
• Oversee Facebook and LinkedIn pages associated with SPS, including approving requests and monitoring comments.
Website Optimization and Performance (35%)
• Support the implementation and governance of GA4 (Google Analytics) and Google Tag Manager accounts for the school.
• Uphold University tagging and tracking best practices, ensuring implementation across internal and external campaigns.
• Offer SEO recommendations based on best practices to enhance website experience and improve search engine rankings.
• Conduct ongoing research on internal queries and website browsing behavior to optimize engagement, user experience, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
• Evaluate inbound organic search behavior through keyword exploration and identify opportunities for expanding content.
• Collaborate with the marketing and communications team in Coveo to enhance internal website search traffic. Acquire proficiency in the tool to maximize its capabilities for the MCPHS website, incorporating personalization and testing.
Project Management and Event Support (25%)
• Lead the project management of marketing efforts for SPS events held throughout the year.
• Ensure timely and within-scope delivery of projects, closely managing project plans, resources, timeframes, and budgets.
Other Miscellaneous Tasks (20%)
• Work with the Associate Director to develop and execute content strategies focused on high-level goals of both the school as well as individual program needs.
• Collaborate with teams and resources to ensure cohesive and integrated strategy complete with content calendar, brand governance, and production oversight of high-quality/engaging content
• Possess knowledge of how Google and Bing Ad platforms function to provide support for campaigns if required.
• Foster continuous skill development and professional growth.
• Contributes to sustaining and enhancing an inclusive working and learning environment.
Requirements
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in email marketing automation, social media management, and project coordination.
• Proficient in SEO best practices and tools.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and experience in page management.
• Ability to contribute to the management and planning of events.
• Working knowledge of GA4 (Google Analytics 4) and Google Tag Manager platforms.
• Team player with excellent collaboration, communication, and writing skills.
• Strong desire for continuous learning, testing new initiatives, and personal growth.
• Proactive problem solver with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate shifting deadlines.
• Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
Preferred:
• Experience using Pardot.
• Familiarity with digital advertising platforms (Google Ads, Bing Ads, and Programmatic) and campaign management.
• Knowledge of the Coveo platform.
• Relevant certifications (such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, etc.).
• Proficiency in Google Looker Studio.
• Familiarity with website personalization tactics, with preferred experience in Salesforce integration and/or Customer Data Platform (CDP).
• Experience with Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and enhancing webpages to increase overall leads for the school.
Physical Requirements:
• Typical office or administrative working conditions. Staff is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions. Work is primarily sedentary in nature; there are no special physical demands.
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
• Work may require the ability to travel by car, air, and/or rail to local MCPHS and SPS events off-campus.
