Digital Editor

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Editor to join our team. As an Editor, you will be responsible for reviewing and revising written content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to style guidelines. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for producing high-quality written materials.

Responsibilities:
●Manage the CMS daily for the creation and execution of content as set by the Content Calendar.
● Oversee the editorial production process for all stories, including building, photo selection, copy-editing, fact-checking, and scheduling.
● Liaise with writers, freelancers, and other editors for the creation process of stories.
● Write both quick news stories and long-form features spanning across fashion, beauty, celebrity, culture, and men.
● Lead daily search of syndication stories from other L'Officiel sites and comb through news for relevant stories and news to cover.
● Recruit, train, and supervise interns for both editorial and social media tasks.
● Organize regular brainstorms and edit meetings and take minutes for review.
● Attend to daily department administration and scheduling of calls/appointments when needed.
● Pitch marquee, features, and news ideas for both print and web.
● Make sure all stories are SEO-optimized and ideal for Google search.
● Organize all photos, videos, and creative assets.
● Assist in the execution of Social Media calendars for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other platforms.
● Create, manage, and update production calendars for Fashion Week and special projects.
● Manage the transcription process of interviews.
● Assist in writing, editing, and fact-checking for the close of each print issue.
● Generate newsletter and other digital products.

Skills:
- Strong research skills to gather accurate information
- Experience in proposal writing and report editing
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to write clear, concise, and engaging content
- Proficient in fact-checking techniques and attention to detail
- Knowledge of journalistic principles and practices
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with writers and team members
- Familiarity with technical writing conventions and terminology
- Creative writing abilities to enhance the quality of written materials
- Strong editing skills to revise content for clarity, coherence, and style consistency
