The Role:
We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our team. As a Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in bringing our creative visions to life through compelling video content across various platforms, including social and television. The ideal candidate has a track record of impact work that connects with people.
The right individual will be comfortable in a startup environment and not afraid to roll up their sleeves to get things done. It’s an opportunity to play a pivotal role in a rapidly growing company.
Responsibilities:
- Edit and assemble raw footage into a polished video product
- Collaborate with leadership to develop video concepts and storyboards
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
- Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects to enhance the video's overall quality
- Ensure that the final product aligns with the client's brand guidelines
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in video editing techniques
- Ensure all videos are delivered on time and meet project deadlines
Experience:
- Proven work experience as a Video Editor or similar role
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar
- A strong portfolio showcasing your creative video editing skills and storytelling ability
- Familiarity with cinema aesthetics and storytelling principles
- Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- An understanding of political and news media marketing
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience in photography and/or onsite filming
- Understanding of marketing principles
- Graphic design skills including use of Adobe Photoshop & InDesign
