- Follow general direction and perform other duties as assigned by the Early Childhood Director and/or designee.
- Utilize solid judgment and discretionary skills as well as make independent decisions that will affect the YMCA.
- Maintain positive relationships with many diverse people, including staff, parents, and program administration.
- Ensure YMCA and Health Department policies and guidelines are followed at all times
- Maintain an environment that ensures children’s safety and well-being.
- Prepare, and implement standardize association menus for lunch/snacks per YMCA HEPA and government reimbursement Child and Adult Care Food Program guidelines
- Meet the training requirements set forth by the Association and State Training Model
- Participate in the Association Dietary Technician Ad Hoc Committee
- Compile and order food and dietary supplies per guidelines and budget
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Coordinate snacks/meals for special events, meetings etc.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Minimum 2 years food preparation, menu development and kitchen knowledge
- Must have knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements of large groups of children
- Must have budgetary, online ordering and planning knowledge
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Must complete and pass Department of Health and Sanitation Food Handlers Course and Certification
