Job Description/Primary Responsibilities:
- Ennoble First has an opening for an experienced DevOps/AWS Cloud Engineer to assist with standing up and contributing to testing, development, and operations environments for a government customer. This role will support a full range of systems engineering activities, including requirements analysis, cost control methodologies, Engineering Review activities, and special projects that will require individual ownership of program level design implementations.
- Primary responsibilities will involve the development and automation scripts to deploy elements of the software baseline ranging from large COTS to small custom services and the stand up and configuration and upkeep of AMIs to support deployments. As part of an agile team, the candidate will participate in sprint and release level team activities, and technical exchange meetings in support of program objectives. Additional work may be required to support development team activities during automation integration activities, this may involve interaction with government and other contractors to build a successful working product and the collaborative troubleshooting of issues.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services- ideally experience automating AWS infrastructure. (S3 Buckets, EC2, Reserved Instances, etc.)
- Experience with Chef (or Ruby or demonstrable ability to pick it up quickly)
- Experience with Python scripting
- Experience with PowerShell scripting
- Strong experience working on a Windows platform - preferrably has hands on Windows Systems Administration expertise
- Experience configuring, running and maintaining DevOps CI/CD pipelines using GitLab (or similar), Jenkins, Ansible/Chef/CloudFormation/etc.
- AWS Certifications
- Experience with ArcGIS automation
- Experience with Amazon Web Services technical performance versus cost management
- Experience with cloud-based architectures
- Familiar with cross domain architectures at various levels
- Experience with automated testing and monitoring
- Experience with Engineering Review Boards and Change Management
- Experience with AWS C2S (AWS Classified Environment)
- Windows Administration
