Senior DevOps Engineer - Join the Innovative Team at Preferred Risk Insurance Services

Location: Bedford Park, IL (On-site 3 days a week w/hybrid schedule flexibility)

Preferred Risk Insurance ServicesOverview: Preferred Risk Insurance Services is on the hunt for an experienced and dynamic Senior DevOps Engineer to expand our technological horizons. As a key member of our IT team, you will play a crucial role in bridging operations and development, streamlining our project lifecycles, and enhancing our infrastructure.

This is an on-site position based at our Bedford Park, IL corporate headquarters, with potential for a flexible hybrid work schedule.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of scalable, secure, and robust DevOps solutions.
• Collaborate with development teams to automate and optimize continuous delivery pipelines.
• Design and manage cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue resolution.
• Drive containerization and orchestration efforts, using tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop and enforce best practices for version control, configuration management, and documentation.
• Work closely with security teams to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and practices.
• Assist in the evaluation and adoption of new tools and technologies, keeping our processes at the cutting edge.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to Dev team members.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proven experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer or similar role.
• Strong background in Linux/Unix and Windows administration.
• Expertise in cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), including infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bitbucket, CircleCI).
• Knowledge of container orchestration systems (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
• Solid understanding of network architecture and security principles.
• Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Insurance industry experience is a plus, but not required.
