Advancement's Business Intelligence (BI) team comprises seven enthusiastic professionals who use data to inform decisions and measure success in a vibrant advancement environment. The salary for this position is $47,000 - $51,000 annually.
You will report to the Director of Prospect Development and Strategies.
Specific responsibilities
As the Development Research Associate, you will...
- Identify and research donor prospects using databases and electronic media in response to research requests
- Present research findings to your colleagues verbally, in writing, and through ad hoc reports
- Dive into various datasets and reporting tools to run reports to support pipeline strategy, stewardship, and solicitations
- Develop positive and meaningful relationships through your interactions with Advancement's strategic partners
- Update confidential prospect records in our donor database with accuracy and integrity

Required Qualifications*
Here are the things you already have:
- Demonstrated ability to cross-reference information from multiple sources, ensuring consistency and completeness.
- Experience working with computers, including using productivity tools, online databases, and internet searching.
- Experience accurately completing routine tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to self-motivate.
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One year of experience working in a non-profit organization as a volunteer, intern, or professional.

Work Location:
Our office is at 101 N. Main Street in Ann Arbor, Michigan. As part of the University of Michigan's Future Work Initiative and LSA Advancement's Flexible Work Arrangements, this position can work on-site or hybrid (both remote and on-site).
