Essential functions (job duties):WayneState University Law School's Office of Career & Professional Development("Wayne Law") is seeking applications from Class of 2023 graduates ofan ABA-accredited law school for a one-year Post-Graduate Fellowship.
FellowshipDescription: Thefellowship offers an opportunity for a recent law school graduate to gainexperience working with Wayne Law's Career & Professional DevelopmentOffice. The fellow's responsibilities will include, but are not necessarilylimited to the following:
-Employment-Based Research
-Student & Alumni Advising and Engagement
-Program & Event Assistance
-12twenty Position Research (12twenty is Wayne Law's Premier Career Platform)
-Data Entry/Management
-Special Events/Projects
Thefellow will work closely with Career & Professional Development faculty andstaff and will report directly to the Senior Assistant Dean of Career &Professional Development. The fellow will conduct research and use data drivenanalytics to recommend and assist with the office's initiatives. This willinclude the responsibilities listed above, as well as additionalresponsibilities as assigned that are viewed to be in line with the position.
Qualifications:J.D.from an ABA-accredited law school required. Bar passage not required. Priority will be given to Class of 2023 lawschool graduates who have an interest in higher education. Candidates must beable to exercise independent judgment; responsibly manage multiple projects;communicate effectively orally and in writing; and complete assignments withminimal supervision.

The candidate will start on or aboutMarch 7, 2024; the fellowship will last at least one calendar year from thecandidate's start date. Applicants areasked to submit (1)a letter of interest describing the candidate's reasons for applying for the fellowship (notto exceed two pages) (2) a resume, (3) a writingsample, (4) a law school transcript, and (5) the names and contact information ofthree individuals prepared to provide professional references. Incomplete submissions will not be reviewed.
