  • Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology from an accredited institution.
  • Candidate must be enrolled in a co-op program from an accredited institution.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering (Aerospace, Chemical, Manufacturing, Material Science, Mechanical or Metallurgical) from an accredited institution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Relevant internship/work/research experience a plus

The Engineering Co-op position will be located in our Research and Development Center in Whitehall, MI.

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic student to join the Engineering Services Group at Howmet Engines Research Center in Whitehall, MI. The candidate will work as part of a team of Engineers and Scientists tasked with providing technical and Engineering support for all AEN production facilities globally.

The summer rotation also includes: lunch & learns presented by senior leaders, tours of our manufacturing plants & processes, networking opportunities, volunteering in the local community, and fun social activities to connect with fellow interns and co-ops.
