The Development Coordinator will assist in the coordination of fundraising activities to meet the development and communication goals of Angel Foundation™. The ideal candidate will update the donor database, support special events and solicitation of auction items, identify and research donor prospects and provide related administrative support functions. This position requires a high level of independent thinking and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:- Collaborate with team members to implement a comprehensive development strategy to meet or exceed fundraising goals.
- Provide support for special event sponsorships, organizational gifts, corporate grants, and fundraising.
- Provide support for Hope in Motion 5K/Family Walk and other fundraising events by communicating with event planners, providing digital resources, attending events, and offering logistical and volunteer assistance.
- Promote employee engagement with corporate partners through volunteerism, employee giving campaigns, matching gifts, and special events.
- Act as a liaison between external partners and Angel Foundation's internal accounting department.
- Ensure deliverables are reviewed and approved on time, tracked, and archived.
- Secure charitable revenue and in-kind gifts via direct outreach or digital applications.
- Research, compile, and summarize information for reports and presentations.
- Communicate with donors and partners via telephone, video conferencing , in person meetings, and written communications.
- Create fundraising collateral such as emails, letters, proposals, presentations, sponsorship benefits, metric-based evaluations, and acknowledgements.
- Comfortable using multiple digital platforms: Virtuous, Sharepoint, GiveSmart, WordPress, Canva, Race Roster and Eventbrite.
- Bachelor's degree required, with one (1) to three (3) years' experience in constituent management as well as development experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide variety of individuals with a high degree of professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, proof-reading, and public speaking.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and client satisfaction.
- Proven ability to manage multipe constituents on the fundraising continuum simultaneously.
- Must be able to anticipate client needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Must be comfortable building corporate partnerships for a nonprofit organization.
