The Museum of Modern Art is currently accepting applications for a Development Assistant to assist the Director of Institutional Giving and to provide and execute a variety of administrative functions and tasks.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Assists the Director with daily stewardship of corporate, individual, and foundation donors.
- Manages the calendar and serves as first point of contact for department director.
- Performs general departmental administrative duties, including scheduling of meetings, maintenance of donor files in Salesforce CRM database, and responding to email and phone inquiries in a timely manner.
- Drafts and maintains donor credit lines for exhibitions, education, publications, and other Museum special projects. Tracks changes and shares up-to-date crediting information with Graphic Design, Publications, and other internal departments as needed.
- Routes sponsor materials for internal Museum approvals, and Museum materials for external sponsor approvals.
- Assists with travel scheduling and related arrangements for department.
- Maintains files of past sponsor crediting and marketing collateral.
- Assists with travel scheduling and related arrangements for department.
- Processes department expenses and invoices and manages retail requests.
- Assists Institutional Giving team in preparing incoming gifts for entry by gift processing team.
- Helps arrange Museum tours; warmly greets donors and other VIP guests at tours and events.
- Performs any other administrative/office duties reasonably related to the functions described above.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and one to three years related experience in a Development office or equivalent.
- Superior written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Budget and database experience preferred.
- Interest in and knowledge of modern and contemporary art.
- Proficiency with language(s) in addition to English a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet research, and office procedures.
- Ability to work independently and handle many projects simultaneously.

Salary: The salary for this position is $54,951 per annum
