- Generate, merge, edit and track donor and Membership acknowledgments;
- Entry of new and renewing memberships gifts and provide backup support, as needed, for the Database Manager on donation gift entry;
- Handle a variety of membership-related tasks, including auction requests, Library membership invoices, and specialized membership fulfillment;
- Track donor engagement through the moves management system;
- Coordinate monthly e-newsletters;
- Provide support for the twice yearly fundraising appeals;
- Pull lists for email communications;
- Update Fundraising Projections and maintain electronic and hard copy files;
- Prepare materials and oversee follow up for meetings;
- Handle departmental administrative tasks, such as submitting credit card statements, invoices and ordering office supplies; answering phone calls;
- Provide administrative support to the Senior Vice President for Development, including scheduling meetings and responding to administrative requests;
- Cover the desk and phone line of the President and CEO’s assistant as requested;
- Additional duties as requested.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
- 1 year in administrative role preferred; experience with a cultural organization preferred;
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite;
- Database experience preferred;
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Detail-oriented with high standards for accuracy;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;
- Commitment and enthusiasm for New-York Historical and museum work
