WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
The Digital Workplace Team is expanding and now hiring a Desktop Support Specialist role! You’ll work in our Fort Worth, Texas location and report to the Digital Workplace Manager. Our Desktop Support team, part of the larger Digital Workplace department, ensures that every employee has seamless access to the technology they rely on. As an entry-level Desktop Support Specialist, you'll be the frontline support for all desktop-related issues within our organization. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about technology, enjoys solving problems, and is committed to providing excellent service. You'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of technologies, troubleshoot interesting challenges, and directly contribute to the productivity and satisfaction of the team. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Provide first-level support for all desktop-related issues, including hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Set up and configure new computers and equipment for employees, ensuring they have the tools they need from day one.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely and empathetic manner, minimizing downtime for our team.
- Maintain an inventory of hardware and software, assisting in the procurement process when necessary.
- Collaborate with the Digital Workplace team to develop and implement IT policies and procedures that enhance our employees' experience.
- Offer training and support to employees on new technologies and IT best practices, fostering a culture of tech-savviness and self-sufficiency.
- Participate in projects to improve IT infrastructure and services, always with an eye toward enhancing user experience.
YOU’LL HAVE THE FOLLOWING TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
- Proven experience in Desktop Support or a similar role, with a strong understanding of hardware, software, and networking principles.
- Familiarity with Mac OS and Windows environments, and the ability to troubleshoot issues across both platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and user-focused approach to support.
- A passion for technology and a continuous desire to learn and grow in your technical abilities.
- Experience with ITSM tools and principles is a plus.
