Desktop Developer

Eagle Seven is seeking a Desktop Developerto join one of our proprietary commodity trading desks. The unique role will be embedded with the trading team and be responsible for developing visualization tools to enhance the desk’s trading, risk management, and analytics. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, have a strong sense of good software design, and be driven to provide practical, technical solutions to business problems.

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with traders to develop early-stage prototypes and iterative feature deployments
• Partnering with traders to understand trading workflows and patterns to design and implement tools that facilitate efficiency and automation
• Developing unique and intuitive tools to visualize and present option analytics such as Vol and Risk
• Developing tools that provide insight into trading positions and trends
• Designing and implementing intuitive and advanced user interfaces and applications for trading, execution, and risk management
• Developing and owning key feature sets of the trading front-end using industry proven design patterns and methods
• Facilitating testing and deployment of new features, workflows, and data analytics
• Focusing on developing responsive and low latency components

Requirements

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Trading industry experience strongly preferred
• Exposure to options trading and analytics strongly preferred
• 3-5+ years of front-end application development experience
• 3-5+ years of experience building .NET (C#) Windows Forms, multi-threaded applications
• Experience building highly responsive, real-time UIs
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously
