The Design Engineer will create, develop, and improve both new and existing turf maintenance equipment, focused primarily on mechanical components, systems, and hydraulics.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
Design & develop components, systems, and finished products associated with turf maintenance & similar equipment.
Construct and test working prototypes of products or systems.
Evaluate and resolve technical issues.
Provide product support to internal customers, including Manufacturing, Purchasing, Marketing, Sales, and Service.
Assure designs meet applicable regulatory, safety and industry standards.
Keep abreast of new technological developments and competitive products of interest to Venture Products.
What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
Bachelor’s or associate degree in mechanical engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
Must be able to create and analyze complete product designs with individual initiative utilizing a CAD program. Currently using Solid Edge.
Proven ability to work in a team environment.
Strong interpersonal verbal & written communication skills.
Engineer I-0-2 years experience
Engineer II-2-4 years experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Product development experience in the turf equipment, agricultural, construction, or other non-road mobile machinery industries.
3D CAD modeling experience (e.g. Siemens Solid Edge)
Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, & electro-mechanical systems.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical systems or machinery design.
