3D Design Engineer

3D Design Engineer - Only candidates within 30 miles of Willoughby Ohio will be considered.

Reports to: Engineering Manager

Skills Required:

• Excellent communication skills using a customer service attitude
• An ability to work well in a team environment
• Proficient use in AutoCAD & 3D software (either Inventor or SolidWorks)
• 2 or 4-year mechanical engineering degree preferred but not required
• Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Job Description:

• Design and engineer custom conveyor systems for industrial automation applications using CAD & 3D Inventor software
• Initiate project kickoff meeting with in-house estimator and the customers engineering team
• Create mechanical drawings, make routine revisions, and secure the customer drawing approval
• Manage the communication between the in-house team and the customer throughout the design & engineering of these designs
• Ensure that the customer is constantly aware of project timelines & final ship date
• Release job to production and provide ongoing support on an as-needed basis throughout production & final assembly
• Adhere to department process controls & procedures

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
