Position Overview The Cutting Tool Design Engineer plays a crucial role in crafting cutting-edge solutions for machining applications while ensuring top-notch manufacturability. Utilizing Solid Edge, you will spearhead the creation of models and drawings vital for production processes.
Roles Responsibilities
- Design and develop 3D models and 2D drawings for Cutting Tools, aligning with customer specifications.
- Maintain and update drawings, files, and records to streamline workflow efficiency.
- Determine raw material specifications essential for manufacturing excellence.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to troubleshoot issues and propose effective solutions for clientele.
- Liaise with the Production team, implementing design adjustments to minimize rejects during manufacturing.
Basic Qualifications
- Proficiency in Solid Edge CAD software.
- Comprehensive understanding of machining operations.
- Knowledge of Cutting Tool Design principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Cutting Tool manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in jig and fixture design methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in operating CNC machines.
