In this role, you will be responsible for managing assigned GESA projects, including scheduling and monitoring available manpower, reviewing and directing project assignments and budgets, as well as managing the project process documentation from the initial project conception. You will be ensuring contract documents, drawings, and specifications are consistent with the requirements of the projects. This includes maintaining a knowledge on current mechanical techniques and state of the art changes, and applying necessary steps to improve staff proficiency, design, procedure, and methods. This position will require an attention to detail as you will be reviewing all proposal documents for accuracy, completeness, quality, and consistency.
Effective communication is a key aspect of this position as you will be providing advice and recommendations to the DGS facility personnel, and coordinating with representatives from other Commonwealth Agencies, Boards, and Commissions to explain the Bureau's position or to develop, plan, and support new and proposed programs to meet operational, special, or emergency objectives related to mechanical engineering. You will have the opportunity to serve as a liaison to Commonwealth Agencies to oversee any contractor deficiency and provide solutions and recommendations to rectify the situation within the conditions of the contract.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years as a Design and Construction Project Manager, DGS; or
- Eight years of professional building design, construction administration, or construction management experience for renovations and new construction for commercial, institutional or educational buildings, and a bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or construction science, or a closely related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Necessary Special Requirements:
- You must possess a valid license as a Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, Professional Land Surveyor, or Professional Geologist by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or a reciprocal jurisdiction.
- You must possess an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
