Job description

Job Title: Housekeeping Room Attendant
Division: Rooms
Department: Housekeeping
Reports to: Housekeeping Supervisors, Assistant Housekeeping Manager, Housekeeping Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary: Responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary facility at all times by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Mops and vacuums all floors daily.
Cleans mops and vacuums after each use.
Changes all bed linen, comforters, pillows, mattress pads, and blankets as needed.
Cleans and disinfects sink, toilet and tub and shower, restocks shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash, Q-tips, cotton balls, body and face soap, facial tissue and toilet paper.
Provides clean towels as needed.
Washes windows, windowsills, and window coverings in all rooms as needed.
Wipes down all TV’s, remotes, and telephones to ensure they are clean and dust free.
Dusts all counter tops, headboards, bedroom dresser tops, drawers, and furniture as needed.
Dusts paintings, mirrors, vents, door jams, and thresholds in rooms and hallways.
Empties all trash cans on a daily basis.
Makes sure to wipe and disinfect the trash can and disposes of trash in designated areas.
Replaces any necessary literature in the room making sure it is neat.
Reports any broken items such as beds, chairs, and fixtures to management.
Ensures all necessary lights are turned on, curtains are open, and drawers or closet doors are open as required for inspection.
Vacuums under and around seat cushions of the chair and sofa.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and less than one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
