AE Works is seeking a talented CAD/Revit Designer to join our Low Voltage systems design team. This position offers great career growth opportunities for an experienced designer interested in pursuing the challenging and rewarding fields of electronic security and information technology systems design.As a CAD/Revit Designer at AE Works, you will be working closely with engineers and designers to create building information modeling (BIM) and drawing information for project delivery per company design standards. There will also be opportunities to participate in other design-related tasks like site investigations.

Role and Responsibilities for Position:
· Develop and modify Revit families
· The ability to model and document projects and set up Revit models for project teams
· Develop concepts into drawingsusing Revit
· Actively participate in meetings and work across disciples to coordinate design activities and resolve conflicts to ensure overall design synergy
· Flexibility to travel is necessary to assist with field investigations
· Document and archive work
· Mentor other team members in the use of Revit design tools
Job Requirements:
· Proficient in the use of Revit software and drawing production tools for engineering systems, ideally low voltage systems
· Possess a working knowledge of industry BIM/CAD standards and best practices for creating and managing work sets, and work sharing processes
· Fluency in importing documents, reading plans, and working in 2D and 3D space
· Excellent problem-solving skills for small/large scale and detail/task level problems
· Organized and detail oriented, with effective oral and written communication skills
· Eagerness to learn and to take initiative
· Associate’s degree in Computerized Drafting or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architectural Technology is preferred, but not required
