Responsibilities
- Perform duties of a Medical Assistant including assisting with procedures, injections, sterilization, specimen collection, and patient care
- Escort patients to exam rooms and take complete medical history
- Scribe and document patient encounters
- Communicate with diverse patients regarding physician instructions
- Record patient care documentation in Electronic Medical Records system accurately
- Practice OSHA safety standards and comply with HIPAA at all times
- Maintain professionalism at all times
- Perform administrative duties including answering the nursing phone lines, scheduling patients, checking patient insurance eligibility, calling in prescriptions as instructed by the physician and discussing procedures and test results with patients.
Hours
8am - 5:00pm (hours vary depending on the day) Monday-Friday
8am- noon one Saturday every other month
Regardless of part-time or full-time, must have 3 full day (8-5pm) availability on M/W/F
Work Experience
- Experienced Medical Assistant or in Dermatology medical assisting preferred but not required
- Experience in customer service highly preferred but not required
Skills
- Prefer experience with an Electronic Medical Records software
Education
- High school graduate or GED
- Medical Assistant Degree preferred but not required

Salary: $20.00 to $23.00 /hour
