Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our boutique practice in Beverly Hills. This individual will play a crucial role in assisting our dermatologists in providing exceptional medical and cosmetic dermatology services to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for skincare, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.

Responsibilities:

1. Front Office Duties:

- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.

- Assist with scheduling appointments, manage patient inquiries, and coordinate follow-up appointments.

- Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and process necessary paperwork.

- Handle phone calls, emails, and other correspondence efficiently.

- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.

2. Clinical Assistance:

- Assist dermatologists with medical procedures and cosmetic treatments.

- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are stocked.

- Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for procedures.

- Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately.

- Provide patient education on skincare routines, treatment plans, and post-procedure care instructions.

- Perform basic administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and updating patient records.

3. Cosmetic Dermatology Support:

- Assist with cosmetic procedures such as Botox injections, dermal fillers, chemical peels, and laser treatments.

- Educate patients on various cosmetic treatments and skincare products available at the clinic.

- Maintain a thorough understanding of cosmetic skincare products and their benefits.

4. Compliance and Safety:

- Adhere to all medical and cosmetic dermatology office policies and procedures.

- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality guidelines.

- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in treatment rooms and common areas.

- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

- Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.

- Previous experience in a medical or dermatology office setting is highly desirable.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

- Proficiency in basic computer skills and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

- Knowledge of medical terminology and dermatology procedures.

- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.

- Certification as an LVN is a plus
