Summary/Objective: The Dermatology Assistant works with other nursing staff to provide patient care and support physicians by maintaining patient rooms, rooming patients, assisting with medical procedures, and charting.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

Must have the ability to travel independently throughout the practice to access information from other departments. Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time, sit, bend, twist and turn to assist patients up, in, and out of exam rooms. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds without restrictions if necessary.

Required Education and Experience

Must have or be able to obtain at least one of the following certifications; Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Dermatology Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse. Cleaver Dermatology will provide training to the right candidate.

Preferred Education and Experience

One year or more working as a medical assistant in a clinic. One or more of the previously listed licenses.
