As the Deputy Program Manager (DPM) for the Integrated Early Warning of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Sensors project for the Department of Defense (DoD), you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the benchmark for excellence in spport of the Joint Program Executive Office – Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Division (JPEO-CBRND). As DPM, you will manage a cross-functional team of engineers and software developers supporting DoD customers and projects. The DPM will oversee technical and programmatic progress on engineering projects to ensure solutions and products meet or exceed customer expectations.
Responsibilities
Major Job Activities:
- Perform overall project management duties including monthly status reporting, tracking budgets and schedules, and conducting monthly program reviews.
- Develop and execute a Program Management Plan that addresses scope management, schedule management, cost management, quality management, staffing management, communication management, risk management, and procurement management for the CBRN-ID program.
- Write or review technical reports, project plans, briefs, minutes, and other necessary documentation including that detailing status, design, or implementation of the software or overall project.
- Participate in and/or lead technical meetings and working groups to address issues related to CBRN-ID systems, software, and database needs; adapt communication to varying audiences including the customer and other high-level stakeholders.
- Establish project goals / milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules including on-time delivery of software deliverables.
- Support new business or expand the product line with the customer by developing winning technical solutions; participate in business development or proposal preparation as needed.

Working Environment:
- Function in an office environment in a stationary position approximately 50 percent of the time or more.
- Must be able to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer, copy machine, and printer.
Qualifications
Education / Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
- 5+ years of technical program-related experience in a government contracting environment.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
Clearance Requirement:
Must have an active U.S. DoD Secret (or higher) level Security Clearance.
