Qualifications:
- Minimum Master’s Degree in Human Services or related field or Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or related field and a minimum of five years related experience.
- Minimum of three years experience non-profit program operations.
- Relevant knowledge and experience in the management and delivery of services.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills both orally and in writing
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in the handling of all advocacies, supervisory, and management activities.
- Computer literacy and proficiency with software utilized to carry out job functions.
Responsibilities:
- The Role: In collaboration with the Executive Director, the Deputy Director will lead a team of six and have oversight for the day-to-day operations of the business in conjunction with the administrative and intake departments.
- The Deputy Director may participate in projects with the Legal Director, Board Members, and the Finance Director.
- Manage operations, purchasing, vendor contracts and relationships, facilities and equipment maintenance, office security, and technical support operations.
- Ensure oversight of IT contractors and vendors responsible for maintaining computer (hardware and software) and telephone systems, physical security systems, and all office equipment.
- Develop, enhance, implement, and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness.
- Work in collaboration with executive leadership to advance operating policies, procedures, office operations, business practices, internal communication and controls, management, and organizational planning.
- Assist with human resources-related tasks such as accommodation requests, onboarding and acclimating new staff, and ensuring consistency of interview and hiring processes.
- Participate in business and financial operations by reviewing bank statements and account reconciliations as needed.
- Participating in budget planning and monitoring for operations and administration.
- Identify support resources necessary to establish and maintain a standard of professional excellence in the delivery of legal and advocacy services.
- Perform all responsibilities as required for individual case and/or advocacy work pursuant to program priorities and teamwork plan.
- Serve as a resource for direct reports in their various specialty program areas.
- In collaboration with the Executive Director, convene and conduct periodic training and/or workgroup sessions regarding office policies and procedures, and other appropriate topics.
Compensation and Benefits:
This impactful and highly rewarding full-time opportunity offers a competitive base salary of $65,000 to
$75,000 based on experience, plus a robust benefits package that includes health, vision, employer-paid
