Job Description
The Village of Ashwaubenon is accepting applications for a full-time Deputy Clerk I (37.5 hours/week).
Ashwaubenon is a vibrant suburb of Green Bay surrounding historic Lambeau Field. While just under 18,000 residents call it home, this regional hub to shop, work, and play grows to 35,000 or more during the day. While it is a football town at heart, and the Green Bay Packers are an active member of the community, a large regional shopping district, the Resch Center (sports and entertainment arena), the Resch Expo (exposition hall), a performing arts center, a competitive collegiate baseball, and soccer stadium and the Epic Event Center (concert venue), provide loads of entertainment to both locals and tourists year-round.
The purpose of this position is to perform customer service, related office administrative support functions, and perform duties in support of the Village Clerk. The Deputy Clerk I may act as Village Clerk in the event of the absence of the Clerk and Deputy Clerk II. The work is performed under the direction of the Village Clerk. This position provides direct administrative support to the Village Assessor. The Deputy Clerk I also performs as a backup to other administrative assistants within Village Administration.
This position requires great attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality in the daily operations of the Village, as well as working well with the public.
Position Hourly Pay Range (2024): $25.26 - $33.33 (Hiring range up to $27.88) - plus an attractive benefits package.
Qualified applicants should possess the following:
- High school diploma, including and/or supplemented by business school training or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- One (1) to Three (3) years of related work experience and/or advanced training.
- Completion of Wisconsin Municipal Clerk's Institute or equivalent training is preferred.
