Pay rate: $87.66 per hour on ***
Candidate with full stack developing experience as well as Red Cap.
Applicable healthcare experience
Experience with healthcare data and medical ontologies required
Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Hybrid work arrangement, with a preference for local candidates. Remote work is acceptable if the candidate is willing to travel as necessary
The Senior Departmental Application Analyst assumes a leadership role in managing and resolving complex interrelated departmental application and reporting issues within the information systems of Keck Medicine of Client. This position involves strategic tasks that require strong analytical skills to assist in defining business requirements and collaborating with the business to develop and implement solutions. Senior analysts play a critical role in defining and resolving daily system performance, data, and architecture issues, as well as participating in major system installations. They may also provide training and guidance to junior staff. Moreover, they collaborate with external vendors, system owners, community partners, contractors, and Health Science Campus leadership to design, develop, implement, and operationalize Departmental Applications and reporting.
In this role, the incumbent is responsible for identifying and documenting information technology design specifications based on an analysis of user needs, along with generating need-gap analyses. Leveraging their expertise, they create and develop system scope and objectives, assess existing or proposed systems, and devise or adapt procedures to address problems through data processing. The analyst works independently and takes the lead in complex system activities.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience or 9 years of relevant business if no Bachelor's degree
Minimum Experience/Knowledge:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Minimum 3 years in an IS Healthcare setting
Experience with using Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) APIs to create Cerner Apps and to create custom integration with other systems
Experience working with cloud providers like AWS/Azure/GCP, web development including HTML/CSS/JavaScript/TypeScript, and front-end frameworks like React/Vue/Svelte to integrate with other systems.
Experience working with the Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership Common Data Model (OMOP CDM)
Knowledge of SQL and working with at least one relational database (like Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, etc.) and working with ETL tools, preferably Talend
Experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Python, PHP
Good organization skills with ability to prioritize multiple activities in a rapidly changing environment
Consulting or Project Management experience highly desired
Strong customer service focus
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
