JOB PURPOSE
Plan, direct, and coordinate day to day farm activities and staff to ensure all daily and weekly production targets are met. Multi-Site Farm Supervisors will have a range of 15,00-84,000 in animal inventory, 5 to 13 hourly direct reports and 1-2 Department Team Leads.
RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
- Train employees on day-to-day processes and procedures, develop a competent workforce by utilizing hands-on training methods, providing constructive and timely feedback, and offering opportunities for individual growth.
- Perform audits of the farm to ensure all standard operating procedures are being followed and facilities are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of animals, personnel, and supplies on the farm
- Ensure health and safety of employees and animals at the facility, submit detailed reports, and track feed and ration staging for animals
- Manage all controllable cost, including supplies, labor, medication, etc.
- Creating and managing employee work schedules if applicable

PAY RATE:
Salary: $49,300

REQUIREMENTS

- Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred; or one to two years swine production experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents in the English language such as safety files, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Bilingual, English and Spanish skills are preferred.
- Clear motor vehicle record (MVR)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift up to 100 pounds and sometimes push/and or move up to 300 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is commonly exposed to airborne particles and gases at low concentrations. The employee is frequently exposed to waste material, feed and hog dust.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends and overnight travel as requested.
