Responsibilities:
- Supervises employees in daily operations.
- Maintains staffing levels, approves and schedules paid time off and leave requests.
- Provides leadership and training.
- Coordinates and provides orientation and education.
- Analyzes workflow and procedures.
- Identifies and implements opportunities to improve procedures, processes, speed, quality and effectiveness.
- Ensures cross coverage.
- Develops effective work team.
- Encourages and supports morale building activities and positive attitudes.
- Communicates with employees and provides orientation on policies.
- Leads and implements large process improvement projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Associate’s degree required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- A High School diploma/GED and six years of experience may substitute the work experience and education requirements.
- A Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience may substitute the work experience requirement.
Certifications:
- None required.
Complexity of Work:
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Advanced knowledge of supervision, training/development, public relations and project management practices.
- Must be able to take appropriate action in a stressful environment.
Work Experience:
- Four years of related supervisory experience required.
- Healthcare experience in a large organization preferred.
Preferred work Experience:
- Prior clinical dental experience is highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
- Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
- In some locations, ability to transport up to 25 pounds
- May require the ability to operate various types of powered material handling equipment.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range: $27.65 - $42.17 / hour
