Job Description:
Role: Clinical Assistant (Orthodontic/Dental Assistant)
Reports To: Doctor & Practice Manager
Description: Clinical Assistants provide chairside assistance to general dentist tuesday-friday and orthodontist on mondays. Our office utilizes Sirona 3DCT for guided implant placement, Prime scan and Itero for digital work flow. Wave one endodontic system. Ideal candidate would be well versed in all aspects of dentistry but will train in any unfamiliar areas.
Candidate would assist Orthodontist when he is in office (3 mondays a month) and assist in general dentistry the other days of the week. If unfamilar with Orthodontics, will set up a week course/training session upon hire at Orthodontics practice.
Hours are M-Th 8-5 and Friday 8-1pm.
Essential Job Functions:
- Taking and pouring up good diagnostic impressions
- Placing dental Sealants (can train)
- Fabricating temporary crowns (can train)
- Assists in placing and removing orthodontic appliances.
- Takes X-Rays/Scans Creates molds and impressions of patients’ teeth for the fabrication of retainers
- Maintain photographs and records of ortho progress
- Assists orthodontists by preparing for procedures, laying out instruments, and keeping patient’s mouths dry with suction tool
- Educates patients (and parents) on proper oral hygiene practices and braces aftercare
- Makes adjustments to patient braces, brackets and bands as directed by Orthodontist

Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Computer experience
- Flexible Schedule
Preferred Requirements:
- RDA
- CPR Certification
- 1-2 years recent experience in dental environment
