Dental Receptionist

Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our team. As a Dental Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and parents, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth and efficient operation of our dental office. This is a vital role in our practice, as you will be responsible for managing patient appointments, dealing with insurance claims, and handling administrative tasks.

Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients in a warm and friendly manor
- Schedule patient appointments using our practice management software (SoftDent)
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records
- Assist with billing and financial transactions
- Coordinate with dental providers to ensure smooth patient flow
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
- Perform general administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:
- Experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar administrative role
- Excellent customer service skills (communicate effectively with patients of all ages)
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes
- Familiarity with SoftDent or other dental office management software (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using phone systems, computers, and other office equipment
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient privacy
