Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with insurance claims processing
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of medical information
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality
- Assist with billing and payment processing
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth workflow and patient satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a dental office or similar healthcare setting is required
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and guidelines
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well with a diverse patient population
- Proficiency in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and multi-line phone systems
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
