Dental Office Manager Job Description
We are currently looking for a driven and team-oriented Dental Office Manager to oversee all administrative operations in our Dental Office. You will take charge of all admin responsibilities for front-office employees, including reception and dental assisting specialists.
To excel in this role, you should be self-motivated, highly organized, a good communicator, and have the talent to inspire teams. It is important that the prospective candidate understands how to manage staff schedules, billing systems, and oversee day-to-day operations.
Dental Office Manager Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional patient care and customer service
- Maintain an office environment that ensures optimal patient care and hospitality
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient satisfaction and loyalty
- Manage and supervise staff
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and professional growth
- Oversee and supervise front and back office staff, ensuring smooth operations
- Train and onboard new employees, familiarizing them with their roles and responsibilities
- Carry out policies and procedures, holding each position accountable for their job duties
- Provide ongoing training and support to front office positions
- Handle various administrative tasks, including AR management and processing insurance claims
- Utilize software systems to compile, store, and retrieve data for managerial reporting
- Ensure compliance with relevant state dental laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies
- Collaborate with HR to address employee issues, facilitate recruitment, retention, and termination processes
- Present comprehensive treatment plans to patients, addressing their dental needs
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with staff, patients, and external stakeholders
- Maintaining the dental clinic’s cash control, staff schedules, general ledger, and billing system
- Coordinating the day-to-day execution of office practices that increase productivity and efficiency
- Responding to clinical and operational issues in a timely and professional manner
Dental Office Manager Requirements:
- A high school diploma or relevant certification is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of dental administration experience.
- Should have exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service.
- Must be friendly, professional, and highly organized.
- Attention to detail and an excellent communicator.
- Solid understanding of dental billing and insurance procedures.
- Previous dental experience is beneficial.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
