Dental Front Desk Receptionist

Overview:
Dr. Dental is looking for a Front Desk Receptionist for our office located in Bridgeport, CT. This is a full-time position that will include some Saturday hours. We are looking for an exceptional and career-minded individual who would be the first line of customer service for all of our patients and visitors.
Schedule: Monday -Friday 12:30pm-7:30pm and Every other Saturday 9am-3pm
Pay is: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience
Giving all-star customer service would include:

• Greet patients and check them in upon arrival.
• Schedule and confirm upcoming appointments.
• Prepare new patient charts neatly and accurately.
• Collect copayments and verify insurance coverage.
• Respond professionally and promptly to any patient billing or record inquiries.
• Execute doctor prescribed treatment plans, patient chart audits, and conduct consults.
• Work with the doctor and patient to ensure treatment plan completion and notify the doctor with any clinical questions the patient may have.
• Educate the patient regarding insurance benefits and affordable payment options including third-party patient financing.
• Follow-up with the patient to confirm treatment was completed and schedule appointments, if needed.
• Help improve office efficiency and workflow while upholding Dr. Dental's standard of care.

Capabilities/Skills:

• 2 years of experience working in a dental office
• Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO)
• Experience answering telephones with a fantastic and helpful attitude
• Must have exceptional customer service skills
• High School degree or equivalent is required
• Basic computer skills and knowledge is required
• Dental software experience is preferred
• Experience in a sales environment is preferred but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
