SalaryWe are looking for a competent Dental Front office assistant who will offer excellent customer service for our patients. Dental front office assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient communication and services.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients in the dental office
- Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
- Ensure proper triage and intake information is received prior to appointments
- Answer phones in a friendly helpful manner
- Assist patients with insurance needs for filing and general information
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Keep the dental reception area clean and well-stocked
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
Skills
- Proven experience in customer service
- Basic knowledge of dentistry
- Understanding of health & safety regulations (OSHA/HIPAA)
- Ability to work in a team centered environment
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
Pay is based on experience and a minimum of 1 year experience is required.
