The role
Join Hitachi Digital Services as a Delivery Manager and play a pivotal role in steering digital transformation projects to success. This position involves a hands-on approach to transitioning multiple applications, including creating an inventory of these applications, sequencing them for transition, and developing a repeatable framework for implementing the transition plan.
What you'll bring
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop comprehensive project plans that align with organizational goals.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Resource Management:
- Allocate resources efficiently based on project requirements and team capabilities.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure project teams have the necessary skills.
Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
- Address issues proactively to minimize impact on project timelines and quality.
Quality Assurance:
- Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure products meet or exceed standards.
- Conduct reviews and inspections to uphold quality standards.
Delivery Management:
- Monitor project progress and report on milestones.
- Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs effectively.
Transition Planning:
- Develop and execute plans for the smooth transition of software to production.
- Work with release management for seamless handovers.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Ensure effective communication within the team, with stakeholders, and with leadership.
- Maintain transparency on project status, issues, and resolutions.
Vendor Management:
- Manage external vendor relationships to ensure alignment with project goals.
Documentation:
- Document project plans, processes, and methodologies thoroughly.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer for ongoing maintenance and support.
Training and Support:
- Coordinate training for end-users or support teams.
- Provide support during the transition period.
Post-Implementation Review:
- Conduct reviews to evaluate project success and areas for improvement.
Compliance and Governance:
- Ensure projects comply with organizational policies and regulations.
- Adhere to governance frameworks and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of relevant experience in project management and software delivery.
- Proven track record in managing complex digital service projects.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in resource and risk management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes and compliance requirements.
- Experience with vendor management, documentation, and transition planning.
- Ability to conduct training, support teams, and perform post-implementation reviews.
As required by the Equal Pay and Transparency Acts, the expected base salary for this position is:$120,000 - $150,000
The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Digital Services bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program's conditions and restrictions.
