About the roleEliseAI's core product is interaction with our clients leads and residents over email. We send tens of thousands of emails a day on behalf of our clients. We are looking for an Engineer who can own the outcome of the successful deliverability of those emails.
As a Deliverability Engineer at EliseAI, you'll be responsible for improving one of Elise's core competencies, helping leads find their next perfect home through email and SMS.
Here are your core objectives- Ensure best-in-class email deliverability
- Assess the quality and functionality of our current email system, then redesign and rebuild it as you see fit
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize email deliverability metrics over time
- Manage and advise how EliseAI should adapt to recent DMAC and DKIM changes enforced by Gmail/Google
- Build a system to warm clients' inboxes to ensure the best deliverability possible
- Advise EliseAI on how to eventually create and manage their own email server (SMTP)
- Learn and drive engineering best practices

- Technical Expertise: A candidate with a strong background in email technologies, including SMTP, DNS, and email authentication standards. A deep understanding of the technical aspects of email delivery infrastructure is essential.

- Someone who also:
- Has worked in Email Deliverability for 5+ years
- Has a startup mindset, ownership, and a proper balance of quality and sense of urgency
- Is great at solving problems with little guidance
- Has strong bias for action
- Is willing to work in person at NYC headquarters with their team 4-5 days per week
- Experience with Deliverability in SMS
- Basic Data Science Skills

The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $180,000. EliseAI offers a competitive total rewards package which includes base salary, equity, and a comprehensive benefits & perks package. Exact compensation inclusive of salary and any bonuses is determined based on a number of factors including experience and skill level, location and qualifications which are assessed during the interview process.
