Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Used Car Technician to join our team. The Used Car Technician will be responsible for performing safety inspections and vehicle reconditioning on our inventory of pre-owned vehicles. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong technical skills, and a commitment to upholding our dealership's high standards of quality
Responsibilities:
1. Perform comprehensive safety inspections on pre-owned vehicles to identify any mechanical or safety issues.
2. Conduct diagnostic tests and evaluations to assess the condition of used vehicles.
3. Complete necessary repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure vehicles meet safety and quality standards.
4. Perform vehicle reconditioning, including noting and suggesting any necessary detailing, painting, and cosmetic repairs.
5. Collaborate with the sales and service teams to prioritize and expedite vehicle reconditioning processes.
6. Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
7. Adhere to dealership policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations and safety guidelines.
8. Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Proven experience as an automotive technician, specifically in the area of Used Car maintenance and reconditioning.
3. Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills.
4. Ability to perform a wide range of automotive repairs and maintenance tasks.
5. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
6. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
7. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
8. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
