Job purpose
Under the supervision of the Director of Marketing, the incumbent is responsible for managing and executing database marketing campaigns and data quality initiatives. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of all database marketing segmentations, data lists, pre and post analysis for email marketing, direct mail campaigns, promotions, and other programs as assigned. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, detail oriented, highly motivated, ability to execute and develop quality work as necessary with the highest standards and attention to detail throughout all phases of a project. Collaboration, organization, and time management skills are key to success in this position.
Duties and responsibilities
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) Rules and Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Consistently deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees.
- Generate lists for direct marketing based on targeted players for a variety of verticals.
- Designs and runs queries, and automates where possible, to extract and compile data for reports.
- Develops and implements appropriate backup and recovery procedures to ensure database integrity.
- Formats and generates reports, including summary, statistical, and/or presentation.
- Maintains current knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment and/or systems.
- Develop and produce the monthly direct mail programs, including list generation, proforma's, creation of offers, creative, production, implementation, and post campaign analyses.
- Utilize Structured Query Language (SQL) to develop queries and procedures for extracting and communicating required information.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of casino kiosk promotions.
- Work closely with Marketing on the planning and implementation of direct mail and email marketing.
- Coordinate direct mail projects with mail vendor.
- Responsible for database integrity (security, data cleansing, NCOA, etc.).
- Provides operating reports and program analysis.
- Performs ad hoc analysis and extracts for various operating departments.
- Create and maintain a campaign marketing dashboard that visualizes key performance indicators.
- Safeguard the confidential information of all employees, departments, and company records.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
- Ensure prompt and discreet notification to management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, with a preferred major in marketing, advertising, communications, or digital media.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of professional experience with database marketing in a casino environment.
- Must have SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services experience.
- Previous experience with Aristocrat player tracking and promotional systems preferred.
- CMP experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain a gaming license.
- Must have solid decision-making, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills are required.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasking, hands-on environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationships with all individuals.
- Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as accounting systems.
- Ability to work overtime and irregular hours and occasionally travel.
