THE POSITION
Our roster has an opening with your name on it

FanDuel is looking for a Data Science Manager to lead the team developing and evolving our internal Marketing Mix Model. You will help manage the roadmap and evolve our current model to help deliver actionable insights driving business KPIs. You will manage a group of data scientists and analysts to continually evolve the various tools, models, and data visualizations, in order to drive better decision making in our marketing team.

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Lead the Marketing Mix Model team to ensure models and outputs are evolving with our business
  • Optimize, scale and improve the existing MMM to increase relevance and actionability of the results provided
  • Work with the MMM team to produce specific insights around the impact of past and future media investment
  • Help create, modify and evolve timeseries models and forecast to quantify the real word impact of marketing tactics on commercial KPIs
  • Lead projects from start to finish, maintain a roadmap, set proper expectations, and communicate timely and adequately with the marketing stakeholders, while also managing internal partners on data delivery and process improvements
  • Improve and strengthen existing data pipelines, while also scaling and building out pipelines for future marketing data sources
  • Create and maintain automated reporting processes for visibility and self-service for marketing and group-wide teams 
  • Own presentations to senior stakeholders, focusing on results and impactful actionable insights, adjusting the communication style to the audience

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Science (hands-on experience with MMMs strongly recommended)
  • Bachelor's Degree in a highly numerate major (Math, Stats, Econ, etc.) or relevant experience in data and/or business analysis 
  • Hands on experience working with MMMs with an understanding of the technical elements required in building and maintaining forecasts and advanced models preferred 
  • Experience using simulations for scenario analysis and recommendations  
  • Experience delivering model result to business users and have recommendation implemented 
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python or R required 
  • Can write production level code, understand principles of programming preferred 
  • Experience with techstacks such as MLFlow, Spark, Databricks, Sagemaker preferred 
  • Experience working in groups and being part of smaller intra year projects 
  • Interest in Sports and/or Sports Gaming preferred

The applicable salary range for this position is $135,000 - $180,000, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation.

This role includes flexible time off (including unlimited paid time off for full-time employees) and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
