What You’ll Do:
Utilize Operations Research, Data Analytics, and Process Improvement methods to identify opportunities in the Maintenance department. Use advanced data analytics and machine learning techniques to manipulate data and look for trends, patterns, and draw conclusions from large datasets.
- Analysis of freight volume by lanes to determine optimal locations of maintenance shops and selection of vendor support
- Application of process improvement methods across all functions of maintenance:Shops, XRA, Warranty, Parts, Tires,
- Systems, and Assets
- Utilization of performance management concepts to align Maintenance departments efforts to Corporate objectives
- Data analytics using R, Python, Excel, Minitab for both Operations and Maintenance data sets
- Facilitate Lean Six Sigma projects from identification through deployment phases
- Process audits to enhance consistency, deepen & broaden bench strength across units within Maintenance
- Develop and generate reports illustrating performance to goals
What We’re Looking For:
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering or similar degree is required
- Master of Science in Industrial Engineering is required
Experience
- 3-5 years’ experience applying Industrial Engineering concepts to manufacturing, distribution, or transportation
Skills/Certifications
- Lean Six Sigma green belt is required; black belt is preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on optimization and process improvement
- Experience using computer software for statistical analysis (R, Python, Minitab, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large datasets
- Experience working with and creating data architectures and end user reports
