This position is split between Lee Woodard Elementary and Stantonsburg Elementary.

Terms of Employment: Permanent, 12 Month Position
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, required.
- Experience using PowerSchool, desired.
- Previous office experience in the educational setting, preferred.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Essential Job Functions:
- Performs a variety of technical-clerical work preparing and maintaining a variety of computer databases pertaining to student attendance and demographic statistics in an assigned school.
- Work involves utilizing specialized computer-driven file maintenance, word processing and spreadsheet programs which are part of the student information system to develop and maintain records of student attendance, class schedules, grades, demographic statistics, immunizations, etc., and to generate federal, state and local reports.
- Responsible for reviewing forms and handwritten information, and entering data into proper computer files, often utilizing specialized codes and abbreviations; utilizing scanner devices to input data; updating files on a daily basis; printing out reports; and preparing back-up copies of records on google drive.
- Responsible for troubleshooting errors or other operational problems with computers and peripheral equipment, installing computer program software, and preparing various correspondence and forms.
- Answer phone calls in a pleasant, informed manner for the purpose of providing information and creating a good image of the school system; take and relay messages.
- Greet visitors to the main office in a pleasant and informed manner; answer routine questions and respond to requests for materials according to established guidelines.
- Respond to inquiries from staff, the public, parents and/or students for the purpose of providing information and/or direction as may be required.
- Forward requests for the information to the appropriate individuals.
- Maintain office equipment and assist individuals with office equipment usage as required.
- Assist with the mailing and distribution of various documents and communication from the fax machine.
- Receive, sign for and send special mail via messenger services.
- Oversee scheduling in PowerSchool.
- Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
