Job Description: Summary:
The main function of a CDL driver is to drive and operate vehicles that require a class B CDL license.
This role is directly involved in all phases of customer delivery, inventory management, and customer interaction
Job Responsibilities:
● Pick up and transport goods and cargo to predetermined destinations.
● Assist with loading and unloading of cargo.
● Track and report working hours
● Pre and Post inspection of the assigned vehicle each day for mechanical and safety issues.
● Notify management if preventative maintenance is required/due
● Ensure all necessary documents and billing paperwork is present for each delivery/shipment
● Reach destinations within assigned timelines and verify receipt of delivery according to company protocols
● Report any incidents encountered on the road, and follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
● Maintain logs if required (paper or electronic)
Skills:
• Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, team player and problem solving skills.
• Time management skills.
Education/Experience:
● High school diploma or equivalent
● Valid Class A/B CDL License (without any major infractions)
• 0-2 years experience.
Comments for Suppliers: Temp position, not looking to bring perm at this time. Will be reporting to 524 Galveston St, West Sacramento, CA 95691.
Duties: loading trucks & deliver goods to client. No office work. Possibly working with hand-jack. Hours are 5:30am-2pm PST. OT available.
Candidate will need to be okay with loading the truck (30-75 pounds), not just making deliveries. Will need to have a CDL. Will need to have a hazmat license.
