Under the general direction of the Deputy Director for Demand Forecasting and Scenario Development of the Energy Assessments Division (EAD), the Data Integration Branch Manager has full management responsibility for the most complex and sensitive program issues including administrative oversight, planning, organizing, directing, and managing the staff, programs, and activities of their Branch. Branch Managers confer with the Division Director, Deputy Director, Executive Director, and Commissioners on a broad spectrum of subject areas within their respective branch's portfolio. In addition, Branch Managers may represent the Division and the Commission before various state, federal and local energy regulatory agencies and organizations with roles in shaping the state's energy policies and may participates in hearings and testifies as an expert witness. Branch Managers also may serve as expert resources on policy, technology, market, and strategic issues as directed by the Division Director and coordinate the work of their respective branches with other state, federal, and local agencies, as well as other interested stakeholders and the public.
The Data Integration Branch has primary responsibility for the development of energy consumption, energy supply, energy source and greenhouse gas data collection and management procedures, development of data use cases, identification and resolution of data quality issues, and development of new energy data collection, analyses and visualizations. The Branch collaborates with CEC's Data Engineering Unit to create web portals and scripts to ingest and process large datasets from numerous stakeholders and synthesizes results of complex data for a general audience. The Branch supports energy related policies and objectives by providing essential and fundamental energy consumption data, which is used to develop energy demand forecasts, analyze energy-related issues, and assess the effectiveness of existing state energy programs and policies as well as developing new energy policies.

Working Conditions
The CEC supports a hybrid workplace model with office-based and remote-centered workers. Limited in-person attendance and occasional travel may be required based on the needs of the division. Regular and consistent attendance is essential to successful performance. Work hours beyond the eight-hour workday or forty-hour workweek may at times be required. This position is remote-centered, which means the incumbent works 50 percent or more of their time from an alternate work location.
